Job Description:

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Contracting Agent to join our team at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors, managing procurement activities, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best possible prices and terms for total cost savings and company best interests.
  • Procurement Management: Perform purchasing services for plant expansion and/or MRO (Maintenance/Repair/Operation) work, ensuring the right quality, quantity, and price.
  • Proposal Evaluation: Evaluate bidder(s)' proposals, analyzing prices, previous performance, commitments, and financial responsibility to recommend the most advantageous proposal.
  • Document Verification: Verify the accuracy of Purchase Orders and/or Contract documentation to properly issue POs/Awards.
  • Market Analysis: Evaluate bid responsiveness, vendor(s)' responsibility, and performance by observing and monitoring market conditions and business practices.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external contacts, including Plant Users, Legal, Accounting, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Four (4) year college degree required.
  • Experience: Entry-level or 1 year's experience as a Buyer.
  • Skills: Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, knowledge of AS400, detail-oriented, ability to work independently, negotiating skills, problem-solving skills, exceptional teamwork and customer service, and good oral and written communication skills.
