Key Responsibilities:


Below is a high-level overview of the role's responsibilities, with a comprehensive job description provided during the interview process.


Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including a working knowledge of health information management issues such as HIPAA.

Welcome, register, instruct, discharge, and provide general assistance to patients.

Collect and document demographic, insurance, and financial information.

Verify insurance eligibility and communicate relevant information regarding payment policies and billing/collection processes.

Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances.

Retrieve and fax/mail medical records to primary care providers and insurance carriers as requested by patients.

Answer phone calls, take messages, and return voicemails.

Provide clerical support as needed.

Exhibit adherence to the Core Values of the Company, including teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.


Maintain cordial relations with all clients and employees; foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and actions that build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Requirements for Centers of Excellence:
Complete all necessary preceptor training to effectively onboard and train new hires in centers of excellence.

Collaborate with Learning and Development to manage the onboarding and training of new employees.

Welcome new employees on their first day in the clinic, facilitating introductions, facility tours, and an overview of clinic processes.

Partner with Learning and Development and new hires to establish a training plan and review the training schedule. Communicate with Learning and Development as appropriate.

Submit weekly evaluations on the progress of trainees to Learning and Development. Communicate training progress or concerns to operations leadership and Learning and Development as necessary.

Complete final evaluations and Proof of Proficiency forms and submit them to Learning and Development on the final training day.

Experience Requirements and Preferences::

Experience in a medical office and familiarity with basic medical terminology are preferred.

Ability to work independently and interact with the public in a high-pressure environment.

Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Must possess an outgoing and compassionate demeanor.

Education Requirements::

High School Diploma or its equivalent.
