Your Role:
Position Overview:
As a Radiation Therapist, you will work under the supervision of the Chief Therapist in Radiation Oncology to:
- Administer daily radiation treatments to oncology patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Serve as a vital communication link between patients, their families, and the Radiation Oncologist, particularly in instances of adverse reactions or disease progression.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Chief Therapist in Radiation Oncology.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee Student Radiographers.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
Must be a graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology specializing in radiation therapy.
Experience:
No prior experience is required.
Licensure and Certification:
Must hold certification from the State of Florida Department of Health as a Radiation Therapy Technologist and maintain active certification as a Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
