Position Overview

We are seeking a committed Morning Line Cook to become a vital member of our energetic culinary team at Oak Ridge Country Club. As a key player in our kitchen, you will be tasked with preparing appealing cold dishes that reflect our diverse menu. If you excel in a bustling kitchen environment, adhere to rigorous food safety practices, and are dedicated to providing outstanding dining experiences, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft a variety of cold starters including salads, vegetable, and meat roll-ups.
  • Prepare flavorful vinaigrettes, dips, and herb-infused oils.
  • Perform meal preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, filleting fish and meat, and washing fruits.
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients to reduce waste and maintain quality.
  • Oversee food presentation, temperature, and portion sizes for all cold dishes.
  • Thoroughly sanitize kitchen equipment at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Propose innovative recipes to enrich our menu with nutritious and imaginative cold selections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work station at all times.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Pantry Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with using professional kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Completion of culinary school is advantageous.
