Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Project Leader to support a Global Network Infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will possess five to seven years of relevant experience in various infrastructure and capital improvement initiatives, with a strong preference for backgrounds in Global Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, or Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of project management, client relations, and vendor engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the design and execution of complex telecommunications pathways, spaces, and cabling projects.
- Develop passive design implementation packages, including designs, drawings, and materials.
- Coordinate with team members and various organizations to ensure timely completion of design implementations.
- Design and prepare layouts for floor plans, riser diagrams, schedules, specifications, and details, focusing on Network and Cabling projects.
- Maintain comprehensive cabling documentation, including server and port information, structured cabling paths, and switches.
- Create RFPs and bid packages for Low Voltage Cable Contractors and IT Design Engineers.
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships during new builds and upgrades.
- Provide regular status updates to management.
- Maintain detailed project plans, scopes, and associated metrics.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for internal approvals.
- Track and document the Structured Cabling budget and vendor invoicing for each project.
- PMP Certification is desirable.
- RCDD Certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of experience managing mid to large-sized cabling technology projects.
- Experience in managing Cabling, Circuit, Networks, Servers, and Applications projects.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional services to clients.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Ability to apply project management principles and tools effectively.
- Experience in maintaining cable management databases.
- Proficient in reading Architectural, IT, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of penetrations and fire stopping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and MS Project.
- Regular use of hands and fingers for operating office equipment.
- Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools.
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, including prolonged periods of screen time.
