Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the functions of our pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispensing and Filling Prescriptions: Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
  • Inventory Management: Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies, and verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
  • Communication: Communicate with colleagues and management through solid professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compliance: Work with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
Requirements
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
