Job Description: Licensed Construction Superintendent
  • Safety Oversight & Management: Ensure all on-site activities adhere to strict company safety policies and government regulations (OSHA, NYC DOB, etc.). Independently halt work for any safety violation or behavior that could lead to one.
  • Project Coordination & Scheduling: Oversee the coordination and scheduling of all site activities to ensure construction stays on schedule. Monitor project labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment, taking necessary actions to control costs as determined.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise and direct Assistant Superintendents (if applicable) through planning, means & methods, manpower requirements, material quantities, equipment needs, and work schedules.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports documenting job-site progress and conditions for payment requisition purposes. Conduct weekly safety meetings and oversee adherence to Tool Box Talks.
  • Project Accountability: Be accountable for schedule input/adherence, cost, quality, and project profitability. Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, trades, subcontractors, and inspection staff. Prepare and verify the completion of punch lists and closeout items for all trades.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • NYC DOB Superintendent License
  • 30 Hour OSHA
  • 40-Hour Site Safety Course Certificate of Completion
  • 62-Hour SST Supervisor Card

Required Experience / Education:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Relevant construction experience
