We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to become a key member of our dynamic Group Reporting & Financial Reporting team. This role involves supporting the review and issuance of both external unaudited and audited standalone financial statements, as well as the submission of financial data for corporate group reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue financial reports, including annual audited and monthly/quarterly unaudited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP for external stakeholders, while also supporting internal segment group reporting requirements under IFRS.
- Draft footnotes for the annual audited financial statements.
- Ensure accurate accounting and presentation of financial statements for debt and equity instruments, as well as for commodity and financial derivatives and leases.
- Facilitate audit support and address inquiries from external auditors regarding financial statement audits and group reporting package reviews.
- Assist local and group accounting teams with ad-hoc requests related to financial information and support for business/Merger & Acquisitions.
- Help implement new US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, staying informed on changes in regulations, and proactively enhancing accounting practices and financial reporting processes for improved accuracy and efficiency.
- Foster a high-quality, deliverable-focused culture within the team.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- CPA certification is required.
- Experience in a large corporate environment is preferred.
- Proven experience in preparing annual audited financial statements with footnotes.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize, build relationships, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Experience in wind energy project development, power industry, or real estate partnerships is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is beneficial.
- Experience with tax equity is a plus.
