CW Resources, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Room Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our commissary/grocery store team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary meat room environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize meat processing equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Keep meat preparation and storage areas organized to meet health and safety standards.
- Properly dispose of meat trimmings and waste materials, following regulations.
- Monitor refrigeration equipment to ensure meat products are stored at safe temperatures.
- Restock cleaning supplies, sanitizers, and personal protective equipment (PPE) for meat department staff.
- Assist butchers as needed, including moving meat products and preparing packaging materials.
- Clean tools and surfaces used by butchers.
- Clean and maintain meat display cases to ensure attractive presentation.
- Follow food safety guidelines, including proper handwashing and sanitation practices.
- Inspect meat products for quality and freshness, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Communicate with meat department staff and management about cleaning schedules and supply needs.
- Maintain cleaning and sanitation records as required by food safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, grab, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift.
