Job Title: Event Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Event Technician to assist with the day-to-day functions of our audiovisual office. As an Event Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and striking audiovisual equipment for client functions, ensuring maximum client service, operational efficiency, and profitability levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service and significantly contribute to the effective management of day-to-day operations according to company procedures.
  • Timely and accurate set-up and strike of equipment for client functions according to company guidelines.
  • Continually increase audiovisual skills and knowledge to stay at the forefront of technology.
  • Maintain and cultivate positive public relations with Hotel accounts and maintain positive employee relations, strong team-player orientation, and communication standards.
  • Effectively utilize the company's business software and maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self.
  • Plan and organize multiple projects, analyze problems, and find solutions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year's experience in the AV industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with AV set-ups and strikes.
  • Background customer service or hospitality experience required.
  • Certification in AV technology or related courses (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work long hours on your feet, lift up to 75 pounds, and work a varied schedule.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required to operate a Company vehicle.
