About the Role: As a Medical Coding Quality Specialist at Laredo Technical Services, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical coding practices. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Bethesda, MD.

Duties:

  • Review and analyze medical records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute training programs to improve coding accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics, including quality control measures and CCE reporting.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years medical coding experience in multiple clinical specialties and 3 years auditing and supervisory experience within the last 8 years.
  • Expertise in ambulatory surgery coding/auditing for outpatient auditors reviewing APV encounters.
  • Certification through American Academy Professional Coders (AAPC) or American Health Information Management Associations (AHIMA).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
