Position Overview:
As a Property Field Claims Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in investigating and managing property claims. Depending on your level of experience, you may be appointed as either an Adjuster or a Senior Adjuster. The salary range for this position is as follows:
- Field Adjuster: Minimum: $55,000 / year; Maximum: $90,000 / year
- Senior Field Adjuster: Minimum: $67,000 / year; Maximum: $111,000 / year
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into the origin and cause of claims by engaging with relevant parties, including insured individuals, claimants, agents, and contractors.
- Identify and address complex issues, seeking assistance when necessary, and manage claims with integrity.
- Handle both first-party and third-party claims across various policy types and endorsements.
- Perform on-site inspections as required, assess damages, and negotiate settlements with involved parties.
- Respond to customer inquiries, make informed decisions, and effectively close claims.
- Interpret and apply policy details, leases, and contracts to assigned losses.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in delivering customer-focused solutions and support.
- Experience managing first-party and third-party claims across multiple lines.
- Familiarity with moderately complex claims handling.
- Strong understanding of casualty coverage policies and endorsements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the claims handling process.
Licensing Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are mandatory.
- State-specific property casualty claims licensing must be obtained as required.
Travel and Physical Requirements:
- Travel may be required up to 10%, with potential catastrophe duty up to 75%.
- Physical demands include navigating various environments, including confined spaces, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to varying temperatures, outdoor elements, and potentially hazardous conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Xactimate is preferred for the senior adjuster role.
- A minimum of five years of experience in property field claims is required for senior adjusters.
- Experience in construction, restoration, or mitigation is advantageous.
