Job Title: Field Service Technician I

Join Qualus Services as a Field Service Technician I and embark on a rewarding career in the power industry. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in our comprehensive training program, which includes classroom and on-the-job training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing and maintenance on low and medium voltage breakers, including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests.
  • Complete mechanical work and repairs on breakers, including tear down, refurbishment, and parts replacement.
  • Install and modify switchgear control wiring.
  • Utilize and accurately read meters.
  • Read schematics and wiring drawings.
  • Troubleshoot circuit breaker controls.
  • Test power and current transformers, including Power Factor and TTR.
  • Accurately and consistently document using Power DB.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience, or Associate or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Candidates must be able to perform physical activity, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending, in all types of weather extremes.
  • Candidates must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. without assistance.
  • Perform regular field work, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, and time management skills.
  • Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Valid Driver's license and good driving record.
