Job Title: Business Systems Administrator

Job Summary:

The Business Systems Administrator is responsible for planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating policies and activities related to DCCCA's business systems. This includes ensuring legal compliance and strategic implementation of DCCCA's information systems processes, including computer, communication, data, and office systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop the organization's goals and strategy related to agency information systems, including software, electronic health records, HRIS, and ERP platforms.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, and initiatives to support DCCCA's information systems compliance and strategy needs.
  • Direct and coordinate professional services such as systems analysis and design, feasibility studies, and programming of information, communication, and office automation systems.
  • Develop, implement, and manage agency-wide system budgets, and ensure competitive pricing from suppliers in compliance with agency policies and procedures related to procurement.
  • Oversee ongoing implementation of key information systems, including electronic health records, HRIS, ERP platforms, and other technologies.
  • Identify and recommend new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; review requests for additional services and upgrades by assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
  • Maintain pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of systems and procedures.
  • Lead coordination and integration efforts linking DCCCA's various data platforms together through DCCCA's ERP platform.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with program operations teams, clinical/program teams, finance, and quality improvement to produce efficient workflows that minimize redundancy and maximize efficiency.
  • Anticipate potential problems and take action to solve issues before they impact users whenever possible.
  • Use project management structures to plan, organize, and manage activities.
  • Work with internal and external partners to communicate project statuses, activities, and achievements.
  • Effectively communicate with partners across all programs and levels of the organization, including translating complex technical information into easy-to-understand language.
  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
  • Improve training and operational procedures within programs to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Work directly with programs to understand the needs of the unit.
  • Create and present reports to management team members and shareholders to support recommendations.
  • Oversee implementation projects from beginning to completion.
  • Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.

Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of five years of related experience in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy.

This position requires travel, which may include driving personal or company-owned vehicles. It may also include driving with other passengers in the vehicle, and/or driving as a passenger with other drivers.
