Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide technical support to employees and guests, troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues, and assist with various IT tasks.

This is a full-time, year-round position that requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our IT Manager and other staff members to ensure seamless technical support to our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

">

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • ">
  • Providing technical support to employees and guests via phone, email, and in-person">
  • Troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues, including Windows operating systems, Point of Sale systems, and network devices">
  • Assisting with various IT tasks, such as installing computer hardware and software, configuring network settings, and performing maintenance on equipment">
  • Collaborating with the IT Manager and other staff members to identify and resolve technical issues">
  • Documenting technical issues and resolutions in a knowledge base for future reference">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • 2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a hospitality or ski industry setting">
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software, including Windows operating systems and network protocols">
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills">
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks">
  • A valid driver's license insurable by Schweitzer's insurance carrier">

Work Environment

">

This position will require working in a typical interior/office work environment, with occasional indoor and outdoor work. The physical demands of this role include sitting/standing/walking up to 8 hours per day, lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally, and bending/squatting/kneeling/climbing/twisting/reaching above shoulder level frequently.

Judgment/Mental Complexity

This role requires high judgment and mental complexity, with frequent decision-making and problem-solving under pressure.
