The Project Accountant serves as a key member of the financial team, responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project financial status. This role ensures compliance with local, state, and corporate policies, while providing financial insight and reporting on the performance of assigned projects.

Key responsibilities include directing fiscal operations, preparing financial performance reviews, maintaining project financial data, and preparing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.

The successful candidate will administer supplier contract terms, verify compliance, and review payments. They will work closely with company management, project management, and clients to provide financial guidance and support.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The Project Accountant must be able to coordinate accounting activities, including establishment of accounts and procedures, reporting, and record keeping.

In addition, this role requires knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to interpret balance sheets and profit/loss reports.
