Mental Health Specialist

The Mental Health Association is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team in Essex county. This team operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, responding to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use or suicidal crises in the community.
As a key member of our team, you will provide evidenced-based crisis services to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use disorder crises. Your primary goal will be to de-escalate crises and support individuals in connecting with social services that can enhance prevention of non-emergency calls and increase early intervention treatment access.
We are looking for someone with at least two years of continuous recovery experience based on personal experience with a mental illness or substance use disorder (AMI or SUD), and at least one year of field experience working with community individuals. You must also hold a valid NJ driver's license and have a good driving record.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
