Job Summary

At South Central Health System, we are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional support to patients and therapists in the Rehabilitation Department.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, to our Healthcare Support Specialists. In addition to a lucrative compensation package, you will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties as a Healthcare Support Specialist will include:

  • Assisting patients with mobility issues to and from treatment areas, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized department, adhering to high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Preparing treatment areas for use, replacing linens, assembling equipment, and preparing hot/cold packs as required.
  • Supporting therapists with patient care, maintaining records, schedules, and other administrative tasks.

Requirements

To be successful as a Healthcare Support Specialist, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
