The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) plays a vital role in the transportation infrastructure within the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). Our mission is to facilitate the movement of goods and people efficiently through our transit systems.

Position Summary

We are seeking a committed Regional Construction Engineer to be part of our Engineering Division. This role is essential for planning and supervising construction initiatives within MTA, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Primary Duties

  • Oversee construction operations across various MTA projects
  • Develop and maintain construction timelines
  • Assess project durations and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with different divisions within MTA
  • Establish engineering standards and specifications
  • Assist in project sequencing and obtaining necessary permits

Candidate Profile

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in professional engineering roles

Licenses & Certifications

A Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor, or Property Line Surveyor License may be necessary for this role. A valid Maryland driver’s license is also required.
