Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Facilities Operations Supervisor, you will:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to all maintenance personnel, ensuring that service requests are appropriately assigned and executed with precision.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property, including grounds, buildings, and communal areas, to uphold safety and cleanliness standards. Identify and address any issues or hazardous conditions within the community.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the make-ready process to guarantee that apartments are prepared for new occupants. This includes conducting move-out/move-in inspections and managing repairs related to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and appliances.
  • Collaborate with the Community Manager to formulate the maintenance operations budget, recommend property enhancements, and plan for capital improvements while ensuring maintenance expenses align with the approved budget.
  • Partner with the Community Manager on all facets of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management for the maintenance team.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, demonstrated through respectful communication and interactions.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Required certifications: EPA-CFC certification and, for properties built before 1978, an EPA-LBP Certification.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills, with the capability to motivate and collaborate with other associates, departments, and external partners.
  • Experience in apartment maintenance is preferred.
