Job Summary

Petco Gibsonia is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospital Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary hospital, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our team, and upholding the highest standards of veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless patient care and communication
  • Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to improve the level of care and communication provided
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state of employment
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License (if applicable)
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate and sympathetic demeanor
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Environment

The majority of job duties will be conducted in our state-of-the-art veterinary hospital. The position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing for long periods of time. A large amount of time will be spent in direct contact with clients and their pets.
