Faculty Position in Small Animal Oncology

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced veterinary oncologist to join our faculty at the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and clinical service in the area of small animal oncology. The faculty member will devote a significant portion of their time to research, clinical instruction, and patient care, with opportunities for integrative classroom and laboratory teaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor students in our integrated curriculum
  • Conduct research in small animal oncology, with opportunities for collaboration with other faculty members and researchers
  • Provide clinical service in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, including primary management of cases and instruction of veterinary students and technicians
  • Participate in academic citizenship, including service to committees and working groups

Requirements:

  • DVM degree (or equivalent) and diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM)-Oncology or completion of an ACVIM-Oncology approved residency
  • Licensed or eligible for regular or special licensing to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Texas
