Job Summary

The Clinical Services Coordinator II provides critical support to the Kennedy Krieger Institute's patient services team. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the delivery of high-quality patient care in assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Systems Development: Develop and optimize administrative systems to improve efficiencies, increase productivity, and enhance patient services.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate scheduling and onsite activities of multiple clinics, ensuring seamless patient flow and timely resolution of logistical issues.
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as a liaison between the Clinical Care Center, Care Management, Outpatient Nursing, medical staff, and families to resolve scheduling, billing, and clarification issues.
  • Prescription Management: Receive and process prescription requests from patients, families, and service providers, and assist clinical staff with refilling and distributing prescriptions.
  • Document Management: Create and maintain administrative documents, such as manuals, databases, and correspondence, for assigned clinics.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and schedule individual and interdisciplinary group meetings for department personnel using the GroupWise scheduling system.
  • Team Support: Cross-train and gain knowledge of NDM clinics to provide team coverage and support.
  • Receptionist Duties: Provide receptionist support, answering telephones, greeting visitors and staff, receiving faxes and mail, and distributing documents to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and the ability to type accurately at 60+ words per minute.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of work experience coordinating healthcare services, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
