Join Our Team as a Clinical Pharmacist II in Neurology

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist II to join our team in Neurology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. As a Clinical Pharmacist II, you will play a critical role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients on Zayed 12, including the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Brain Rescue Unit, and Neuro IMC beds.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive medication management and adjust medication therapies via drug therapy management agreements with prescribers.
  • Help manage drug costs by ensuring formulary and stewardship guidelines are followed.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary decision making and emergency code response.
  • Contribute to care coordination, education, policy/procedure development, and research activities.
  • Provide drug information and education to patients, students, residents, pharmacists, and other healthcare practitioners.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm D. or BS degree.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland.
  • Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties or a certification deemed appropriate for the practitioner's practice setting by Division Director within 2 years of start date.
  • Hospital and departmental education requirements completed within 90 days of hire.
