The Role
We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager - Foodservice Channel to lead the planning and execution of sales objectives in their territory. This key position involves engaging brokers, managing and growing purchases through sales activities in chain operators and non-commercial segments, and developing incremental business opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building long-term relationships with existing customers and securing new customers in their assigned market. They will partner with the Senior Manager to implement programs for new business growth and financial management, develop and manage sales strategies and tactics, and expand existing branded business with current customers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Manager to implement programs for new business growth and financial management.
- Develop and manage sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth.
- Manage and expand existing branded business with current customers through account penetration, pricing negotiations, contract extensions, RFPs, new item placements, etc.
- Prospect new customers and business by identifying, presenting, and closing new opportunities.
- Identify menu gaps, promotional opportunities, and key development initiatives to gain incremental sales.
- Develop and manage budgets pertaining to sales, margin, program funds, and allowances.
- Direct responsibility for managing product forecasting and roll-outs of new foods.
- Represent Aspire Bakeries at tradeshows and customer conferences as needed.
- Maintain customer correspondence and price quote files and ensure that we have the correct financial documentation and back-up.
- Interact with other departments in the organization to ensure proper customer requirements management.
Qualifications
We require a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, Culinary, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate must have:
- Foodservice experience with a proven track record of success.
- Broker, Distributor, or Operator level experience.
- Customer intimacy and experience with assigned accounts within the territory footprint.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Salary Range
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on location, shift, education, skill, and experience. Additional pay may be determined for candidates who exceed specified qualifications and requirements.
