Job Summary

The Building Mechanic position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, including floors, walls, ceilings, and lighting. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recycle and Waste Management: Organize recycle waste materials with vendors and ensure proper disposal.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform a wide range of housekeeping duties, including sweeping, wiping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, and washing windows.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform simple plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and lighting tasks as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of facility goods and report counts when low.
  • Transportation: Operate forklifts, floor scrubbers, and scissor lifts safely.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Prior manufacturing plant work experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical strongly preferred.
