Job Summary

As a Building Maintenance Specialist at NexCore Group, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance checks, overseeing repairs and maintenance on properties, and managing services of equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite routine maintenance checks to ensure property compliance with job standards
• Oversee and assist in the general repairs and maintenance on properties and manage services of equipment, as required
• Make necessary service calls on equipment and/or make arrangements for prompt service work
• Provide "on-call" response to support operations team during off-hours as required
• Monitor jobs to ensure quality and property compliance with job standards
• Coordinate activities with other trade areas, operations manager, or outside contractors
• Maintain records of jobs performed, the affiliated billing charges, invoicing and hours worked

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in general building maintenance, carpentry, construction, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and ability
• Working knowledge of common hand tools and testing equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with colleagues and internal customers, tenants, owners
• Computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
