Production Materials Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Materials Coordinator to join our team at Penumbra. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and control of inbound and outbound materials, ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Summary

The Production Materials Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate logs, files, and computer systems for material receipts, issues, returns, and Lot control. This role will also involve reconciling inventory levels, processing daily material issues and returns, and maintaining a clean, neat, and safe work area.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, returns, and Lot control
  • Reconcile inventory levels and identify shortages or overages
  • Process daily material issues and returns in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area
  • Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution as needed
  • Operate material handling equipment, including electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor
  • Process material requests in a timely manner to support manufacturing production areas
  • Participate in job rotation to be cross-trained in secondary job responsibilities
  • Issue materials to production floor and maintain material traceability
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED) with 1+ years recent or comparable experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer experience
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices helpful
  • Satisfactory completion of background check
  • Ability to work day shift hours of 7 am to 3:30 pm
Working Conditions

This role will be based in our Alameda, California facility and will require working in a stockroom and cleanroom environment. The employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $18.00 - $28.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short and long-term disability insurance, 401(k) with employer match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid parental leave, eleven paid company holidays per year, a minimum of fifteen days of accrued vacation per year, which increases with tenure, and paid sick time in compliance with applicable law(s).
