Position Title: Finance Information Systems Analyst
Location: Middletown, NY
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: $60,000
Role Overview:
This role is dedicated to the development, support, configuration, and maintenance of Finance Information Systems within the Access: Supports for Living network. Key areas of focus include general ledger, electronic health records, accounts payable, and procurement systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the management and auditing of Financial Information Systems, ensuring effective implementation, training, documentation, and report management.
- Foster collaboration between finance, program, and IT teams to guarantee streamlined and compliant workflows.
- Coordinate with teams to facilitate builds, upgrades, configuration changes, and testing of Finance Information Systems.
- Provide education to end-users regarding updates and enhancements.
Vendor Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with vendor teams to maximize the functionality of Finance Information Software.
- Assist in organizing vendor-led training sessions.
- Act as a bridge between Finance management and vendor teams to ensure clarity on Finance Software requirements.
Software Optimization:
- Gather feedback from finance leadership regarding the functionality of Finance Software.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of Finance Information Systems, preparing recommendations for enhancements and reporting improvements.
- Review release notes and present new functionalities for approval.
- Regularly assess the Chart of Accounts and program listings for accuracy.
Reporting:
- Design reports and dashboards to effectively measure financial performance, including month-end and year-end reporting.
- Create reports to support both internal and external data requests, such as fiscal reports and auditor inquiries.
Accounting Duties:
- Execute adjusting journal entries, analyze and reconcile accounts, and perform year-end analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years of experience in general ledger systems.
- Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred.
- Proven experience in leading Finance Information Systems implementations.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Netsmart Suite, IMA, Evero, and/or Certify is advantageous.
- Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Excel and database software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Occasional bending and stretching may be required.
- Willingness to travel to various affiliate sites and vendor locations as necessary.
- Availability for on-call duties when required.
