About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, and driving sales growth through effective product recommendations and sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored product recommendations
  • Drive sales growth through effective sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling products
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, including features, benefits, and applications
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and equipment
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging and attractive shopping environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of retail sales experience, preferably in a paint or decorating environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
