About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Preceptor to join our team at Heartland Hospice. As a Nurse Preceptor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the development of new clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the learning experience for preceptees, ensuring they perform competently in their required responsibilities through mentoring, coaching, and role modeling.
  • Perform patient home visits in accordance with physicians' orders, providing compassionate and personalized care.
  • Orient new nurses to hospice clinical policies and procedures, documentation, technology, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinical setting
  • Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Unencumbered RN license in the work state assigned
