Position: Liquor Store Associate

Objective

The primary aim of this position is to enhance customer trust and loyalty by delivering prompt and courteous service, maintaining consistent operational standards, and fostering a welcoming environment.

Compliance Duties


• Monitor customer behavior and verify age through identification checks, ensuring responsible service of alcohol and preventing the removal of open containers from the premises.


• Refuse the sale of alcohol or tobacco products to underage or intoxicated patrons.

• Maintain a strong focus on the needs of customers.


• Welcome, assist, and express gratitude to customers in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.


• Provide product recommendations to customers when suitable.

Operational Responsibilities


• Organize and rotate inventory to ensure product freshness and adherence to expiration dates.


• Efficiently manage supply items to minimize waste and control costs.


• Accurately operate department tools and equipment, including cashier systems, while ensuring proper handling of various payment methods.


• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, promptly reporting any safety hazards or equipment issues to management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


• Must be at least 21 years of age.


• Completion of TIPS Training is required prior to starting the position.


• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.


• Authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain authorization.


• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.


• Adherence to all company policies and procedures.


• High standards of integrity and reliability.


• Basic computer skills necessary for online training participation.


• Strong customer service skills.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
