Reach Truck Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our team at DuBois Chemicals. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of products and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Reach Truck to move products and materials within the warehouse, adhering to safe operating procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of products.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Skilled capability to operate a Reach Truck, with a proven track record of safe and efficient operation.
  • Proficient in following verbal and written instructions, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Unload and receive deliveries of customer products, ensuring proper quantities, quality, and documentation.
  • Place products securely in warehouse locations to prevent damage or misplacement.
  • Retrieve and load customer products as directed, ensuring accurate quantities and item identification.
  • Participate in product counting, relocation, and inventory processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Perform warehouse cleaning and equipment maintenance tasks, as assigned.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures to ensure efficient and consistent warehouse operations.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility.
  • 1-2 years of experience operating a High Lift - Reach Truck, with a strong safety record.
  • Experience with warehouse order selection and inventory management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with a preference for experience with Dynamics [D365].
  • Ability to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, and work instructions.
  • Ability to operate electronic equipment, such as RF scanners or radios, as assigned.
  • Pass a forklift driving exam (pre-offer).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
