MRO Supervisor
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Supervise and train MRO staff
- Manage spare parts inventory, contracts and services with suppliers/vendors, monitor and report department spending.
- Advise department management of any delays or problems with supplies that could affect plant operations.
- Monitor supplies and parts inventory using the PLEX ERP system.
- Identify alternative suppliers, vendors or products that meet the specifications when necessary.
- Work closely with Management to determine best items, suppliers, and prices to purchase in support of company goals.
- Determines proper storage methods and stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom or warehouse
- Identifies and marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Monitor supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects and reports damages to supervisors.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Other jobs and / or duties as assigned by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS (including educational requirements):
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years’ experience in MRO or maintenance
- Ability to lead and supervise others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of maintenance supplies and inventory procedures
- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)
- Possess basic computer skills, familiar with web/internet navigation, and willingness to learn and utilize new technology-based products as applicable
- Ability to operate a Forklift (must maintain on-site certification provided by Usui)
