Job Title: Wellness Director RN

Job Summary

The Wellness Director RN is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Wellness Department, ensuring residents receive excellent physical and psychosocial care in a manner that promotes dignity, choice, and individuality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assure quality in all aspects of wellness program, including medication management, provision, and documentation of services.
  • Hire, supervise, motivate, and evaluate all wellness department associates.
  • Serve as a liaison with hospital personnel, physicians, community organizations, and other health-related service agencies.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times when interacting with residents and families.
  • Conduct pre-occupancy level of care evaluations on all potential residents and assure completion of on-going evaluations and service plans.
  • Direct and supervise medication program, including but not limited to medication administration.
  • Ensure all medications have proper orders and labels.
  • Provide case management services to residents and coordinate interdisciplinary service plan meetings with residents and families as care needs change.
  • Coordinate move-ins and assure timely completion of all required move-in documentation.
  • Investigate and document resident and associate incidents, identify safety hazards, and institute corrective action in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and monitor resident charts to assure necessary care and services are being given and to assure compliance with state regulations.
  • Assure follow-up with dietary and pharmacy consultant recommendations.
  • Coordinate services with Home Health, Rehab, Lab, Podiatrist, and/or Hospice services as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing preferred. Minimum certification to administer medications.
  • Must be a licensed nurse or certified to administer medications in the state where you work.
  • Minimum of two years experience in senior housing.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred.
  • Dementia care experience preferred.
  • Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities.
  • Considerable initiative, judgment, and leadership skill are also required.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases.
  • Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

  • Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $100,000/year.
