Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care for patients experiencing cognitive memory challenges, focusing on the diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and various forms of dementia.
  • Conduct thorough neurological assessments, including detailed history-taking and physical examinations, to establish precise diagnoses and create evidence-based treatment strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including neuropsychologists and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients with cognitive disorders.
  • Engage in patient education, offering guidance on disease management and lifestyle adjustments, while involving patients and their families in care decisions.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative discussions to enhance the collective expertise of the neurology group.
  • Maintain meticulous electronic medical records (EMR) and adhere to all regulatory and institutional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a residency program in Neurology.
  • Fellowship training in dementia or cognitive neurology, or a strong interest in cognitive health.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
  • Possession of a valid Texas medical license.
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency, including history-taking and diagnostic test interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • A collaborative spirit, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
