Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Cardiovascular Specialist at Hendrick Health, you will play a critical role in directing and coordinating office services and related activities. You will interact with physicians and physician offices, as well as Centralized Scheduling, while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Your ability to understand and operate multiple computer systems will be essential in reconciling charge errors with the Business Office and assisting Medical Records staff in gathering required data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic cardiovascular examinations per physician orders and according to department protocols.
  • Generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation and review physician reports, charts, and charges procedures electronically.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Interact with patients and significant others while maintaining professional standards.
  • Collaborate with Cardiologists and referring physicians according to applicable departmental policies regarding critical findings.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • Minimum Work Experience: 1 year on-the-job training or graduate of an accredited ultrasound school
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: RDCS or RCS in adult echo and RVT or RVS in vascular ultrasound or one of these in combination with another ultrasound registry
  • Supervisory skills, including the ability to teach and train
Preferred Skills
  • Master use of all equipment, including ultrasound systems, PVR, BP monitors, and computer systems
  • Attends required training programs and staff meetings and completes computer-based learning lessons
