- Team Management: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, supervisors, and inspectors to ensure quality control requirements are met.
- Audit and Compliance: Lead external audits, address findings, and ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
- Quality Control Environment: Create a strong quality control environment, serving as a key resource for quality-related topics and issues.
- Quality Control Program Management: Manage and maintain the quality control program in the plant, with a focus on zero defects.
- Quality Data Analysis: Develop and analyze statistical data and process specifications to determine yields and establish quality of in-process and finished products.
- Quality Objectives and Goals: Identify, drive, and maintain quality control goals and objectives, coordinating with operations and manufacturing departments to maximize product quality and minimize costs.
- Interface with Corporate Quality Group: Interface with the corporate quality group for escalations, procedures, reporting, quality tools, and other quality-related matters.
- Quality Review Meetings: Drive periodic quality review meetings and take ownership of improving yields at all stages of quality control and quality assurance on the production floor.
- CAPA Program Management: Drive the CAPA program, helping internal and external teams to drive true root cause analysis and corrective actions to eradicate issues permanently.
- MRB and RMA Program Management: Manage the MRB and RMA programs to keep them below established targets, with a zero-waste mindset.
- Environmental Health and Safety Program Management: Manage and maintain the environmental health and safety program, closely working with corporate managers to fulfill environment, health, and safety requirements.
- Sustainability Projects: Drive sustainability projects under corporate directives and cover the plant in corporate and customer audits.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement for the organization, including Kaizen projects, Gemba walks, and 5S disciplines.
- Document Control: May be responsible for owning and maintaining document control, including the full management and control of customer, quality, and production documents.
- At least seven (7) years' experience as a Quality Manager in a PCBA and Mechanical EMS environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent.
- Proficient with PC-based software, including Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Kaizen and lean manufacturing techniques, 6 sigma green belt or better.
- Direct management and bring-up of at least one (1) ISO standards implementation (i.e., 9001, 14001, or 13485).
- Experience with developing and documenting procedures.
- Use of quality engineering methods in inspection.
