We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Balance Staffing. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections of electronic cards, sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure all products meet established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
- Utilize gages, templates, microscopes, and other manufacturing aids to ensure compliance with established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
- Enter all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
- Notify appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels.
- Provide timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming products are identified.
- Accurately complete all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
- Perform process audits and assist manufacturing with the interpretation of quality and workmanship standards.
- Assist with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/products.
Requirements:
- Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Successful completion of company-provided training may be required.
- Typically requires 6-12 months of related experience.
- Typically requires an understanding of inspection techniques.
- Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics, touch-up, commercial soldering, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly, point to point wiring
- Inspection: bare board, loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope, measuring tools
- Mechanical & Electrical Tools: measuring tools
- Office Skills: data entry, spreadsheet, manufacturing systems software.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work that requires repetitive motion. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
