Job Summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled Cook Supervisor to oversee the college's food service program. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing food service assignments, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of food service staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan and execute menus, taking into account dietary requirements, nutritional standards, and customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to optimize food service operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and overall food service quality.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Background investigation will be conducted for all hires.
  • Appointment may be subject to a 2-year trial or 1-year probationary period.
  • Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

Applicants will be rated based on their ability to lead, supervise, and manage food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and food safety.

Education

This position does not require a positive education requirement at this grade level.
