**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide full scope midwifery services, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
* Conduct well-woman exams and provide family planning services
* Manage acute and chronic illnesses according to established protocols
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and blood tests
* Provide emotional support and guidance during labor and pregnancy
* Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and identify high-risk pregnancies
* Administer medication, injections, and intravenous infusions during labor
* Provide postpartum care to both mothers and newborns

**Requirements:**

* Certification as a Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
* Active license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
* Active DEA Number
* Master's degree or higher education in nursing with a specialization in midwifery

We provide full scope midwifery services, including prenatal care, labor support, and delivery, postpartum care, annual well-woman exams, and Pap smears. Our midwives attend births at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland, and Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.
