Our advisory service offerings encompass Cybersecurity Organizational Design and Strategy; Risk and Compliance; Defense and Transformation; Resilience; Data Security and Privacy; and M&A/Private Equity.

In these service domains and within a shared resource framework, your daily contributions will center on interpreting clients' cybersecurity needs and customizing security solutions into actionable guidance and insights that inform strategies, operations, and tactics.

Your primary goal will be to identify and develop security solutions for clients by leveraging your existing knowledge and interpersonal skills, along with our company’s products and technical tools, to reduce security vulnerabilities and enhance the effectiveness of relevant security controls.

These project-based tasks may involve working at client locations, from an Aon office, or remotely.

Performance metrics typically include utilization (i.e., billable hours), role-specific metrics, and the successful delivery of agreed-upon solutions within budgeted timeframes.

The work location is flexible.

Your Role as a Cyber Security Senior Advisor:

Key Responsibilities:

This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary Proactive Security Services team that leads, executes, and delivers various Security Advisory projects for our clients.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting delivery teams in conducting enterprise-level technical security evaluations for diverse clients.

- Engaging in blue teaming/purple teaming and technical security assessments across on-premise and public/hybrid/private cloud environments.

- Executing Breach and Attack Simulations within client environments to assess the effectiveness of security measures and provide recommendations for enhancements.

- Advancing and scaling traditional defensive security programs for clients against threats such as ransomware, APT, and insider threats.

- Evaluating IT network and security architectures in accordance with industry-standard processes and frameworks.

- Conducting document reviews, analyzing artifacts, and interviewing client security and technology personnel as part of security evaluations.

- Performing hands-on analysis as necessary, including control/configuration reviews of client technology and security stacks using both automated and manual techniques.

- Developing client security programs by assessing existing capabilities, conducting thorough threat reviews, and evaluating relevant data points.

- Recommending strategies to defend against threats such as ransomware, nation-state attacks, and insider threats.

- Assisting engagement leads and team members during client engagement execution, ensuring timely progress, achievement of objectives, and quality delivery.

- Contributing to the enhancement of team competencies and capabilities by refining delivery processes, mentoring team members, and identifying opportunities for new service offerings.

Required Qualifications:
Strong technical foundation in Security Operations, DevSecOps, Red Teaming, or Blue Teaming.

Professional experience in both offensive and defensive information security domains.

2+ years of substantial experience in a technical cybersecurity role (offensive and/or defensive).

2+ years of significant experience with two or more of the following throughout your career:

- Building and/or maintaining attack simulation and C2 infrastructure.

- Conducting technical security assessments and attack surface analysis across on-premise and public/hybrid/private cloud environments.

- Engaging in blue teaming/purple teaming, technical security assessments, or penetration tests across on-premise and public/hybrid/private cloud environments.

- Establishing and/or maintaining security operations programs for large and complex environments.

- Hands-on experience in red teaming/blue teaming for large complex environments.

- Providing security advisory services related to secure design and architecture, ransomware defenses, or post-breach remediation.

The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years in progressively advanced roles within information security consulting, along with demonstrable experience across various Cybersecurity domains, including security engineering, security operations, security architecture, cloud security, and/or blue teaming/red teaming.

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS Critical Security Controls is essential.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. A proven ability to produce clear, coherent, and precise reports on a variety of complex technical issues is crucial.

Preferred Qualifications:
Recent consulting experience with a mid to large-sized consulting firm/practice is preferred.

Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, AWS/Azure/GCP) are advantageous.

Experience working on cloud security teams, security operations teams, blue team/purple team engagements, and ransomware defensive strategies would be beneficial.

Educational Background:
