Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, with experience in laying various types of flooring materials, including hardwood, tile, carpet, and vinyl. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing work sites, preparing surfaces, and installing flooring materials according to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess Work Sites
Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential issues and make recommendations for resolution.
- Prepare Surfaces
Remove old hardware, clean, and prepare surfaces for installation.
- Install Flooring Materials
Use hand and power tools to install flooring materials according to client specifications.
- Work with Colleagues
Collaborate with other installers to ensure efficient use of time and materials, while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Inspect Finished Work
Conduct quality control checks to ensure customer satisfaction and the highest standards of work.
Requirements
- Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience
Prior experience as a flooring installer or completion of a relevant apprenticeship is strongly preferred.
- Skills
Comprehensive knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
