Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Native Species Conservation Analyst to join our team at the Department of Fish and Wildlife. In this role, you will work closely with our conservation team to develop and implement strategies for protecting California's native species and habitats.

About the Role

  • Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to track species populations and habitat health.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decisions and policy recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including other government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, to advance conservation goals.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to field staff on conservation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, ecology, or environmental science.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
