We are seeking a Permitting Intern to join our team in Melville, NY. As a key member of our project team, you will assist with permit submittal packages, monitor application status, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.



Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver permit submittal packages, ensuring timely deadlines and accurate information.
  • Monitor the status of applications through various stages of the approval process, communicating updates to stakeholders as needed.
  • Research and update filing requirements for jurisdictions, maintaining a database of critical decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with internal and external project team members, including permitting and design teams.
  • Communicate plan examiner comments in a timely manner, ensuring project progress.
  • Schedule appointments, inspections, and meetings as required.
  • Develop and edit business documents from provided information.
  • Maintain organized filing and document management processes for electronic and paper documents.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates/Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Efficiency in finding firm knowledge and other relevant business information.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • High energy and assertive curiosity.
  • Prioritize and multitask as required to meet accelerated schedules or changes in strategy.
  • Valid Driver's License or ability to utilize public transportation if working in an urban area.


Total compensation will be determined by other considerations such as experience, qualifications, and educational background.
