Job Summary

Southwest Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Project Engineer to lead our water resources and infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing solutions for water authorities, municipalities, and private clients addressing civil infrastructure, municipal, and industrial water/wastewater treatment needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and oversee design and technical aspects of projects, including detailed engineering design and calculations, report writing, permitting, and presentations to clients.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare creation reports and bond applications for municipal utility districts, and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored/filed appropriately.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders, both written and oral.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School or B.S. in Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: Six years of experience managing substantial hydrology, hydraulics, and general water resources/wastewater projects from conception to completion.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of design for water/wastewater infrastructure, working knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software, and basic computer software skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) Designation: P.E. designation in the State of Texas (or currently transferring their license to Texas).
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil-3D, KYPIPE, Pond Pack, and other relevant software.
