Qualifications
  • Set up Robot Controller Simulation (RCS) within simulation platforms.
  • Create comprehensive robot programs across various brands (Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, etc.).
  • Assess the viability of solutions and processes, addressing potential issues prior to the manufacturing stage.
  • Confirm the cycle time for each station/line, optimizing robot programs and troubleshooting cycle time challenges.
  • Assist the Site team during the commissioning phase.
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in Siemens Process Simulate (PS).
  • Skilled in MS Office / Google Suite applications.
  • Strong expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Develop robot programs utilizing teach pendants from major robot brands.
  • Download complete offline robot programs.
  • Configure Robot Controller Simulation (RCS) in simulation software.
  • Work with brand-specific robot software (ABB RobotStudio, Fanuc Roboguide, Kawasaki K-Roset, etc.).
  • Validate solutions and processes through detailed simulations.
  • Ensure cycle feasibility as outlined in cycle diagrams.
  • Optimize weld distribution to enhance cycle time.
  • Provide accurate cycle time evaluations through detailed cycle simulations.
  • Establish robot safety configurations, ensuring adherence to safety and ergonomic standards.
  • Collaborate with Software and Virtual Commissioning teams to develop robot signal logic.
  • Support the Virtual Commissioning team during the debugging phase.
  • Assist the site team throughout the commissioning process.
  • Engage in customer support and specification analysis.
  • Conduct design reviews with customers.
  • Participate in design reviews with Project Engineers and project teams.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Manage industrial processes and robotic applications for automation initiatives.
  • Maintain libraries and simulation models (Robot / Fittings / External axes / tool changers / slides / dressing).
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Pursue continuous skill enhancement and learning of new methodologies.
  • Focus deliverables primarily in the areas of Trim, Chassis, and Final Assembly.
  • Coordinate simulation deliverables, tracking files, and glide paths in accordance with Virtual Assembly Standards.
  • Provide technical support and prioritize simulation requests from the engineering team.
  • Create One-Pager posture reports and review them with the plant team.
  • Conduct Part Fly-In Simulations for each station's components/assemblies in Process Simulate for Trim, Chassis, and Final Lines.
  • Collaborate with MBOM Engineers and Industrial Engineers to update simulations in line with the latest MBOM and Scroll.
  • Execute Human Quick Walk simulations for critical stations using Process Simulate to validate cycle times and optimize workstations to minimize operator movement.
  • Perform Detailed Moving Line Simulations, assigning kinematics to process tools and generating postures for each work element provided in man assignment to accurately simulate the station and visually present the assembly process.
  • Create resources, tools, and equipment items in PS for use in Process Simulate simulations.
  • Identify and document significant process, tooling, and layout issues early in the launch process.
