Job Title: Manager of Information Technology

At the Edmundson Art Foundation dba Des Moines Art Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Information Technology to oversee the organization's entire IT infrastructure and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the IT/Database Specialist, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including hardware, software, networks, and systems administration.
  • Ensure IT systems and infrastructure availability, performance, and security.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity, ensuring IT systems can be quickly restored in the event of a disruption.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a related field, as well as two (2) to three (3) years experience as a People Manager.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
