Job Overview

Under the guidance of the Radiology Director and the Staff Radiologist, the Radiology Tech I is tasked with executing a range of diagnostic procedures using diverse diagnostic equipment. This role involves the scheduling and preparation of patients prior to examinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather relevant medical history from patients before examinations.
  • Prepare patients adequately for their diagnostic procedures.
  • Conduct necessary diagnostic procedures as per physician orders.
  • Assist the radiologist during specialized procedures and fluoroscopy.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all radiology equipment rooms.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of materials in the assigned area.
  • Perform imaging procedures to achieve diagnostic quality.
  • Execute modality procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Handle PACS functions and create CDs as needed.
  • Ensure that expenditures remain within the allocated budget.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding personnel and patient care information.
  • Engage in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education initiatives.
  • Obtain and confirm appropriate physician orders.
  • Utilize computer charting systems for patient information management.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma with completion of a Radiology Technology program.
  • Licensure: Certification/licensure by the State of Wyoming and ARRT.
  • Experience: Preferred experience in Diagnostic X-Ray.
