Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography-related procedures in a clinic setting, utilizing your expertise in cardiovascular principles and ultrasound physics and instrumentation to produce and evaluate cardiac ultrasound images and related data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography-related procedures in a clinic setting, adhering to department protocol and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members, exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of clinical examinations.
  • Provide accurate data to radiologists and cardiologists for exam studies, per exam policy and procedures.
  • Acquire and archive procedure data, ensuring accurate documentation in patient charts.
  • Ensure procedures and related supplies are billed correctly, participating in performance improvement and quality control activities.
  • Perform PACS functions, burning CDs, and routing and retrieving studies.
  • Comply with the Compliance Program, including the Code of Conduct, laws, and regulations, and Hoskinson policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies in the room and cleanliness of radiology equipment rooms.
  • Perform IV insertion for IV contrast studies.
  • Ability to perform General or Vascular studies in clinic settings, with willingness to train.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Applied Science.
  • Certification - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Certification - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Certification-RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or certification of RVT (Registered Vascular Technologists).
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • 3+ years of Sonographer Experience, with Stress Echocardiography Experience preferred.
  • Pediatric Cardiac Sonography Experience preferred.
  • General Diagnostic Medical or Vascular Experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed.
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols.
